Great job buddy! You did the best you could in extreme conditions...like you said you'll be better prepared and more experienced for next year run...we're still all proud of you! 94 miles...still incredible feat!
I admire your guts and tenacity as well as your wisdom to not take a chance literally with your life. Lots of people can finish a marathon; very few could go 94 miles in the coldest part of the country! I hope to see you at a race this spring; ?St. Cloud ?Fargo. Paul
Rick, you are my hero. You can be very proud of your accomplishment!!! You are an amazing person and you positively impact those around you. Rest up and look forward to new adventures! Sincerely, Tracy Clow
Every run is a training run. It sounds as if you learned more about yourself, the event, and life in general. You also gave me the opportunity to learn about support, encouragement, and commitment to an "ultra" group of friends. You're a good man, a fine athlete, and a grace-filled part of God's family! You didn't fail. You didn't cross the marked finish line. I'm proud of your strength and perseverence!
Your courage is inspiring, and your mentoring admirable. I enjoy your blog. Though I am sure I will never attempt The Arrowhead, that you have and probably will again fills me with an enjoyable awe. Keep up the good work!
My hat is off to you, Rick! You are one tough guy!

ReplyDeleteWow guys. Arrowhead has humbled me once again. Your support humbles me even more. You will never know how much it means to me.
ReplyDeleteI was ready to bust up the furniture in my office on Tuesday afternoon if you did not leave Melgeorges.
